Davenport city leaders could approve a development of a new gas station at their city council meeting Wednesday, November 13th, 2013.

The gas station would go up 100 W. 65th Street. That is just to the west of the new Menards store. The Menards store will be located at 6600 Brady Street. The gas station will be a Kwik Star.

The development site looks a lot different now than it did back on June 21st, 2013. All you could see then were the signs at the front of the development and the trees that had been cut down. Now, a majority of the structure is up.

Crews will build the Kwik Star on three acres of land next to the Menards. The Menards is supposed to be a $15 million development. The new store will replace the current building on 53rd Street.

The new Menards should be open by the spring of 2014. Wednesday's meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. at Davenport City Hall.
