Bettendorf: Veterans Day ceremony, 2 p.m. Monday, November 11, 2013. Congressman Dave Loebsack is scheduled to speak. Veterans Memorial Park, 1645 23rd Street in Bettendorf.
Davenport: Veterans Day Parade, Monday, November 11 at 10 a.m. starting at 4th and Western Streets, moves east to Main Street, south to Second Street, west to Scott Street, and north to 4th Street. Parade followed by ceremony at the Scott County Courthouse around 11 a.m.
Davenport: Holiday Mail for Heroes card signing event, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, November 11, 2013 at the Rogalski Center at St. Ambrose University in Davenport. Students and citizens can help spread holiday cheer and thank members of the military for their service by signing holiday cards that will be distributed to the troops and their families. You can also send signed cards for the Holiday Mail for Heroes program through December 6. For details, click here.

Dixon, Illinois: Veterans Day service at Veterans Memorial Park, 11 a.m. Saturday, November 9, 2013. Maj. Gen. Michael Smith, deputy commander for support, First Army, scheduled to speak.
East Moline: Veterans Day Ceremony, 11 a.m. Monday, November 11, 2013 at East Moline American Legion Hall.
Galva: Veterans Day Ceremony, 11 a.m. Monday, November 11, 2013 at Galva Veterans Park.
Milan: Wreath laying and Honor Guard will fire a salute at the foot of the front lawn of the American Legion post at 515 West First Avenue in Milan. 11 a.m. Monday, November 11, 2013. Event is immediately followed by service in the parking lot to retire U.S. flags no longer suitable for public display. Damaged flags are collected throughout the year in a box in front of the Legion building. Both ceremonies are open to the public, and the public is invited to stay for a free light lunch. Free will donations appreciated.
