A 40-year-old Marshalltown man pleaded guilty to sexual abuse that happened when he lived in Muscatine.
William Hartley was initially charged with ten counts of third-degree sexual abuse according to a complaint filed in April 2013. According to court records, the incidents happened in 2009 and 2010.
Muscatine County Attorney Alan Ostergren said Hartley’s victim was a 12-year-old girl.
Hartley pleaded guilty in Muscatine County Court Friday, November 8, 2013 to two counts of third-degree sexual abuse.
Hartley was scheduled to be sentenced December 20 at 9 a.m.
