Christmas tree arrives at iWireless Center

For the first time in the center’s history, a tree from Iowa will be part of the annual Christmas display at iWireless Center in Moline.

For the first time in the center's history, a tree from Iowa will be part of the annual Christmas display at iWireless Center in Moline.

A 35-foot blue spruce, donated by the Horak family of Bettendorf, Iowa, arrived at about 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2013.

The tree will be adorned with approximately 30,000 lights.

The lights will be turned on at the annual Lighting on the Commons ceremony, held on the John Deere Commons in Moline from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2013.
