Municipal elections Tuesday in Iowa

Tuesday, November 5, 2013 is election day. Iowans can see a sample ballot for their city  here.

A mayoral race between incumbent Mayor Bill Gluba, former councilman Keith Meyer, and write-in candidate Phil Yerington will be on the ballot in Davenport. To hear thoughts from Mayor Bill Gluba and former Davenport mayor Phil Yerington on Davenport's issues -- click here.

Davenport is not the only city with a contested race for mayor. In Scott County alone, there are four other contested races for mayor. The incumbents are being challenged in Blue Grass, Eldridge, Le Claire, and Long Grove. In Dixon, Iowa, voters will be asked if they think the city's library should remain a part of the Scott County library system.

All polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. except for Donahue, Maysville, New Liberty, and Panorama Park which open at noon. Polling places are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Clinton and Muscatine Counties too.
