Two men were reportedly involved in an attempted bank robbery in Andover, Iowa.

According to the Clinton County Sheriff, on Friday, November 1, 2013 someone from the Clinton National Bank on  140th Street in Andover called to report an attempted bank robbery around 3 p.m. The caller described the suspect and the vehicle involved.

Police said around 3:15 p.m. the vehicle was found in Clinton. The driver and the passenger were both taken into custody. The two have been charged with the crime of robbery 2nd degree.

Several departments assisted the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office including the FBI, the Clinton Police Department, Camanche Police Department, and the Iowa State Patrol.
