After the reported shooting at LAX, safety was on the minds of some travelers at the Quad Cities International Airport.

News 8’s Jenna Morton spoke with airline passengers on Friday, November 1, 2013 after a reported shooting situation at the Los Angeles International Airport. One QC traveler said she feels safer flying out of a relatively smaller airport.

“I have flown in and out of this airport for many years and never had a problem,” said QC Airport passenger Jean Johnson. “It’s obviously a smaller airport, so you would like to think that we wouldn’t have those kinds of problems around here.”

Police said that on Friday morning a man was taken into custody after opening fire in the Los Angeles International Airport. A TSA agent was killed and others were injured during the incident.
