A 15-year-old girl faces criminal charges in connection with the death of a baby in Libertyville, Iowa.

Iowa State Police say Jefferson County deputies were called to investigate the report of a deceased baby at about 4:45 a.m. Friday, October 11, 2013.  Police confirmed finding the baby girl’s body in a closet at a home in the 700 block of East Maple in Libertyville.

Investigators said they believed the girl had given birth to the baby the previous day.

The Jefferson County Attorney’s office said October 28 that the girl was charged in juvenile court with felony child endangerment resulting in death.

Why protect her name? She should be charged as an adult…if she can get pregnant and deliver at home, then she is adult enough to be charged as an adult.

  • Sue Steele says:

That is right Mary, she could of taken the baby to a drop off site. That is cruel… You are an adult now.
