During a week dedicated to safe driving, an Oneida high school is pushing for a $100,000 grant for committing to the cause.

During National Teen Driver Safety Week ROWVA High School is participating in a campaign put-on by State Farm called Celebrate My Drive.  The campaign encourages safe driving by asking teens around the country to make safe driving commitments during National Teen Driver Safety Week, from Oct. 18-26.

Each day during the week, anyone ages 14 and up can submit a commitment on behalf of their chosen high school. The more safe driving commitments that are made, the better the chance a school has of winning.

ROWVA High School is participating in the campaign and attempting to win one of the prizes awarded for safe driving commitments. High schools with the most commitments could win 1 of the 10 $100,000 grants, 1 of the 90 $25,000 grants, or 1 of the 2 Kelly Clarkson concerts.

Click here to help the high school of your choice win a safe driving prize. To submit a commitment, you’ll have to enter your email, identify yourself as a student, teacher, administrator, parent, community member or affiliate. You’ll have to answer two safe driving questions and then pledge your commitment to safer driving.

The last day to participate is Saturday, October 26, 2013.
