The live-streamed Decorah EagleCam is back!

The Raptor Resource Project began testing for their seasonal live stream after installing a camera at the second nest built in 2012 by the eagles nesting near the DNR Fish Hatchery in Decorah, Iowa.

RRP workers waited until all of the eaglets left that second nest in early 2013 before installing the camera at the new location.

RRP posted on Facebook they would be testing the camera Friday, October 25, 2013, so the stream would be “on and off during the day” until they got the camera settings properly adjusted.

The RRP says the original Decorah nest was built in October 2011.

Bob Anderson, whose work started the Raptor Resource Project, has been nominated for the 2014 Eagle Rare Life Award.  Supporters can vote online once per day for their favorite candidate, and the winner will be selected in January 2014.  Eagle Rare will donate $40,000 to the charitable organization of the winner’s choice.  To see Bob’s story and vote for him, click here.
