A father has been charged with aggravated battery in connection with injuries that his baby suffered.
According to the Sterling Police Department, on September 16, 2013 officers responded to a call regarding an infant who was found unresponsive and not breathing. After suffering from severe injuries, the baby was airlifted to the hospital and stabilized.
Police said an investigation led them to arrest the baby’s father, 21-year-old Terrance Jordan, on Thursday, October 24.
According to police, the investigation revealed that “abuse occurred on more than one occasion.”
Jordan was held in the Whiteside County Jail in lieu of $500,000.
