One lucky kid got to get up close and personal with the animals at Niabi Zoo on Saturday, October 19th, 2013.
10-year-old Reese Kramer, from Sterling, Illinois, gave breakfast to the giraffes this morning.
Reese won the Zookeeper for the Day contest, organized by News 8 and Niabi Zoo in Coal Valley, Illinois.
Reese quickly found out that the job includes some dirty work. He had to clean up some of the "presents" the animals left for him overnight, but overall he says the experience was a lot of fun.
