Authorities are investigating two reported thefts that occurred at a church in Kewanee.

According to the Henry County Crime Stoppers, items were reportedly taken from the Church of Peace on N. 900 Ave. in Kewanee, Illinois. The first theft occurred sometime between Wednesday, July 31 and Thursday, August 1, 2013 and the second was between Thursday, September 26 and Saturday September 28.

Officials said during the first theft, two large copper-colored planters and a white concrete bench were taken. During the second theft, “compressors were removed from two large outside air conditioning units.” Wires and copper lines were cut as well.

Police suspect that these thefts may have required more than one person to be able to lift and load missing items.
