One person died and one was seriously injured after a car accident involving three vehicles.
According to the Illinois State Police, 26-year-old Ryan Jenkins died after a crash on Illinois Route 96 south of the Quad Cities.
Police said on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 shortly before 4 p.m., Jenkins was driving a truck headed south on the roadway when it crossed the center-line colliding with a trailer being pulled by a pickup truck. Jenkins' truck then turned and collided head-on with another vehicle, a 3-axle grain truck following behind the trailer.
The driver of the grain truck was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries, officials said.
No charges have been filed.
