Iowa lands five spots on list of ‘Best Places’ to live

Five Iowa cities have made it on a list of the best cities in America to live in.

A website, called, has announced its list, the Top 100 Best Places to Live, and five Iowa cities made the cut.

Ranked in 29th was Cedar Rapids, 31st was Ames, 46th was Iowa City, 69th was Des Moines, and in 76th was West Des Moines. Palo Alto, California took the top rank. Skokie, Illinois was the only city to represent its state and it ranked in 71st. researches the cities and judges them based on features like walkability, cultural amenities, transportation, urban planning and sustainability.
