A new court date has been set for Mercer County Treasurer, Mike Bertelsen.
According to a report by WRMJ.com, the pre-trial for Bertensen has been scheduled for November 5, 2013 in Rock Island County.
Bertelsen was accused of stealing money from the local Republican Party in 2012, according to an affidavit.
WRMJ reported that Bertelsen was also accused of stealing from Mercer County 911 funds.
According to WRMJ, he is out on $75,000 bond, but the Mercer County Board has banned him from returning to the Mercer County Treasurer’s Office.
