Davenport residents will have the chance to ditch their leaves for free this fall.

The City of Davenport will provide a service picking up leaves during their No Sticker Yard Waste Collection Weeks, called Free Weeks.

Free Weeks begins Monday, October 21, 2013 and lasts through Saturday, November 30.

Residents are not required to place a sticker on their 2-ply Kraft paper bags for collection. The 2-ply Kraft paper bags are required because plastic bags wont compost.

Yard waste is collected on your regular garbage day. Branches must be tied in bundles with a sturdy twine and be no more than 5-feet long and no more than 50-pounds.

For more information about Free Weeks or solid waste visit the City of Davenport’s website.
