In honor of a teenage girl who was reportedly murdered, an Illinois community will be holding a ceremony to dedicate a memorial bench in her name.

In honor of a teenage girl who was murdered, according to a report by KCRG, an Illinois community will be holding a ceremony to dedicate a memorial bench in her name.

KCRG reported that on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 members of the East Dubuque community planned to gather for a dedication ceremony of the memorial bench in honor of Chyenne Kircher.

“It hits you deep inside, especially when it hits this close to home,” said business owner Bill Hoefler.

Hoefler of Custom Auto Repair and Greg Freiburger of Expert Lawn wanted to donate the bench in hopes that her memory will not be forgotten, according to the report.

"For decades to come people will see it and it will be a story that gets brought up and people will say,'Hey, what's the story with that girl?'" Greg Freiburger of Expert Lawn said.
