Gilda’s Club needs your vote for $10,000 donation

Gilda’s Club of the Quad Cities has the chance to win thousands of dollars, and it’s all hinging on votes.

Each year Tom’s of Maine, a natural products company, donates to nonprofit organizations in the United States to help them continue to make a difference in their community.

To become a finalist in the company’s national initiative, called 50 States for Good, nonprofits need votes. Click here to vote. In 2013 the company planned to give 15 finalists each $10,000.

Gilda’s Club of the Quad Cities is located in Davenport, Iowa. It is a nonprofit emotional and social support community for people fighting cancer. Gilda’s Club also serves patients’ families and friends. The organization’s namesake is Gilda Radner, who lost her battle with cancer in 1989. She is best known for her work on Saturday Night Live.
