A fire broke out at a Davenport home causing enough damage to displace the homeowners

According to the Davenport Fire Chief, the fire on Monday, October 14, 2013 started in an upstairs bathroom. Crews were called to the scene at 68th Street and Wilkes Ave. around noon.

Officials said the family was not home at the time of the fire. There were two cats in the home at the time and one of them died.

No word on what caused the fire.
