Police are trying to solve several recent burglaries reported in and around Savanna.

Although police did not say whether the incidents might be related, three separate crimes were reported during the overnight hours Monday night into Tuesday morning, October 7 and 8, 2013.

Savanna Police said a vehicle was stolen from an address on Milwaukee Street during those overnight hours, and later returned to the same area.

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Department is also investigating burglaries that happened that same night in the Carroll Heights subdivision off Scenic Bluff Road, about a mile east of Savanna.

Someone reportedly went into a home on Loop Road at about 4:30 a.m. and took a purse while the residents were in the house asleep.  A purse and other small items were also reportedly taken sometime overnight from inside a home on Serenity Lane.

A homeowner on Alice Street also told police they saw someone going through a car in their driveway at about 3 a.m.

Anyone with information about these or other crimes is asked to contact Carroll County Crime Stoppers at (815) 244-7867.
