Flames were contained to an oven but heavy smoke damaged part of a duplex in Moline, Illinois.

The fire was reported just before 11:30 a.m. Monday, October 7, 2013 at a home in the 400 block of 10th Street.

Firefighters arrived to find smoke visible from the second floor of the duplex home.  Flames, though, did not spread past a stove.  Firefighters used fans to pull smoke out of the building.

The smoke caused minor damage to the attic, but firefighters said the family would probably be able to stay in the home.

No injuries were reported.
