City officials in Morrison, Illinois issued a precautionary boil water order for all residents north of Route 30.
The boil order began at 10 a.m. Monday, October 7, 2013 after a water main break at Ash Avenue and Elm Street.
“There is no evidence the water is unsafe,” said a statement from Public Services Superintendent Gary Tresenriter. “The Order will be in effect until water samples show that the water is safe.”
While the boil order is in effect, residents should boil water for at least five minutes before using it for drinking or cooking.
