The Colonel Davenport House is one of two facilities that remain open on the Rock Island Arsenal during the government shutdown.
Because the house is not supported by federal funding, it will be open for its regular hours throughout the end of October. It is open Thursday to Sunday, 12-4 p.m.

Also on Arsenal Island, the golf course is still open.
However, the Arsenal Museum and Mississippi River Visitor Center are closed until the shutdown is over.
