Students at Augustana College are being encouraged to take some of their classes off campus… way off campus.
On Sunday, October 6th, 2013, Augustana held its annual Study Abroad Fair on the Rock Island campus. The College offers 25 different study abroad programs as well as a few exchange programs.
Staff say studying in a different country is important for students to understand the world around them.
“It’s important for students to be able to get perspective on other countries and to be able to feel comfortable traveling around the world and to get a sense that we’re all sharing earth together,” says Dr. Allen Bertsche, Director of the International Programs Office at Augustana.
Some of Augustana’s most popular study abroad programs are in Sydney, Australia; London, England; and Brazil.
