Power outages possibly connected to local storms forced delays and early dismissals at some area campuses.

Annawan Schools were set to dismiss at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 3, 2012 because of power out there.  District officials said classes would go on as previously scheduled.

An alert from Black Hawk College indicated a power outage delayed classes in buildings three and four on the Quad City campus until 11 a.m.

StormTrack 8 Chief Meteorologist James Zahara said scattered showers were a possibility in and around the Quad Cities throughout the day Thursday.
