Shaniah Paige Anderson says she began singing when she was five years old. Ten years later, she is recording her first music video in her hometown of Roseville, Illinois.
Last year, the 15-year-old auditioned against 200 people to win “The Event” – a singing competition that was in the Quad Cities. Now, Shaniah has a record deal and a song on iTunes.
“Your dreams can come true and people who set the goal for themselves, they really can achieve it,” Shaniah told News 8 during a break in her shoot on Sunday, September 29th. “It’s just like what I did. I never thought that I would be big like this and I’m making a difference to other people.”
The title of Shaniah’s first song is called “Roseville.”
