It's not every day you see Batman walking around the Quad Cities.
On Saturday, September 28th, 2013, participants - many of them in costume - walked or ran in the 2nd Annual Walk and Run for Wishes event at Green Valley Sports Complex in Moline.
"We had a grand total of 170 participants and we raised $20,366 dollars," says Pamela Samuelson with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois. "We are still taking donations on our website walkrunwish.org through the end of October."
Those donations are used to grant wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions in our region. Samuelson estimates every wish costs around $6,000.
