Three people were rescued after their boat flipped over in the Mississippi River on Saturday, September 28th, 2013.

It happened in LeClaire, Iowa around 1pm. Emergency crews responded to the scene, but other boaters helped the people out of the water.

"This is the outcome we always hope for," says Mark Slagle, Chief of the LeClaire Fire Department. "This river can be a very, very dangerous situation and these individuals who were on the boat today are extremely lucky."

The boat was still mostly underwater when crews moved it to the dock. Officials are still trying to figure out what caused the boat to sink.
