For the second time this year, an Iowa trooper was stopped for speeding while driving a vehicle carrying Iowa Governor Terry Branstad.

Trooper Darren Argabright was reportedly issued a warning citation after he was pulled over on Highway 3 in Franklin County on August 27, 2013.  Argabright was reportedly driving less than ten miles per hour over the posted speed limit as he took the governor to an event in Hampton.  The exact speed of the vehicle was not reported.

State Patrol officials said Argabright was disciplined, but the details of that discipline were not disclosed.

Trooper Steve Lawrence was cited Thursday, July 25, 2013 for driving 84 miles per hour in a 65 m.p.h. zone as he drove the governor and lieutenant governor in Hamilton County on April 26.

Both incidents happened while Brian London was commissioner of the Iowa Dapartment of Public Safety.  London resigned and was replaced by Larry Noble in early September.
