Police divert traffic after Moline John Deere Expressway crash

A crash forced police to shut down a portion of John Deere Expressway in Moline.

According to the Moline Police Department, around 9 a.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, an accident involving two vehicles shut down westbound traffic on the road.

Police said westbound traffic in the area was diverted either northbound onto 41st Street or southbound as crews investigated the crash site.

It was estimated by the department that officers may take until 11 a.m. until the area would be reopened.

There were no injuries reported.
