Fifth arrest made after alleged meth lab fire damages businesses

Another arrest has been made in connection with a methamphetamine lab that caught Bettendorf businesses on fire.

Another arrest has been made in connection with a methamphetamine lab that investigators say caught Bettendorf businesses on fire.

According to the Scott County Jail, a fifth arrest has been made in connection with the case. Sarah Adamson, age 21, was arrested and booked in the Scott County Jail on Monday, September 23, 2013. Charges she is facing include arson in the first degree, conspiracy to commit felony, hosting a drug house gathering, and manufacturing meth. She is being held on $200,000 bond.

According to the Bettendorf Police Department, on Monday, August 26 around 9:30 p.m. officers were called to a multi-unit storage facility that was on fire. It was determined that the fire started in the unit that was reportedly leased by McArtor Construction.

Officials say they discovered that the fire was the result of meth manufacturing.

After an investigation, five people, including Adamson, have been arrested, according to the Bettendorf Police.  Police have warrants for three more people who have not yet been taken into custody.
