The River Bandits have announced their 2014 regular season schedule.

The Bandits will host the 2014 home opener on Thursday, April 3 at Modern Woodmen Park in Davenport, the ballpark where they won the 2013 Midwest League Championship. The team will host 70 home games during the season.

According to a spokesperson from the River Bandits, they will play a four-game Opening Weekend series from April 3-6 at Modern Woodmen Park.

“After two championships in three years, our fans can look forward to another season of first-rate baseball and affordable family-friendly entertainment,” said team co-owner Dave Heller. He said the Ferris Wheel will open in May, and improvements will be made throughout the ballpark.

“We are determined to make 2014 the best year ever at the Best Minor League Ballpark in the country,” Heller said.

Weekday home games will be played at 7 p.m., except for three Tuesdays, April 29, May 6, and May 20, where the games will be played at 11 a.m. Saturday home games will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday home games at the beginning (April 6 – June 15) and end of the season (Aug 17 and Aug 24) will begin at 1:15 p.m. and they will start at 5 p.m. in between (June 22 – Aug 10).
