Family Resources in the Quad Cities is hoping car lovers will help their fundraising efforts.
On Saturday, September 14th, 2013, Family Resources partnered with Dahl Ford for the first time for its "Drive 4 Ur Community" event.
From 9am to 4pm, people could test drive one of 11 brand new Ford model in the parking lot of the Annie Wittenmyer Gymnasium in Davenport. For every five-minute test drive, Ford Motor Company donated a $20 donation.
"Those dollars really help the agency to extend our mission into the community and we provide several different services and describe ourselves as a safe place for kids and families," says Christine Gradert, Senior Vice President of Family Resources.
Gradert says they hoped to raise $6,000 from the new fundraising event.
