The Putnam Museum is hosting "Diana, A Celebration" Saturday in Davenport.

The Putnam is holding a media tour Friday, but the exhibit opens to the public on Saturday. The Putnam is boasting a picture of the former Princess of Whales outside of its building.

Princess Diana got married on July 25, 1981 to Prince Charles. She wore a 25 foot long train that was attached to her wedding dress that day. Reports claim that she got the train crumpled as she tried getting into the St. Paul Cathedral in London.

That train and that dress are on display in the Quad Cities Saturday. On Wednesday, September 11th, the two handlers of the dress showed it off to a few local fans.

"Diana, A Celebration" starts at 10 a.m. Saturday. The exhibit is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Tickets cost $18 for adults and $13 for children. The exhibit will be here until January 5th.
