Hours after he was last seen the body of a Gilson, Illinois man was found beneath a fallen tree.
Knox County emergency crews were sent to a report of someone trapped under a log at a property in the 1100 block of Knox Road 1000N at about 4 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2013.
A statement from Sheriff David Clague said after no one had heard from 62-year-old Richard Grohmann for several hours, a family friend went searching for him.
Grohmann was apparently trying to dislodge a fallen tree and the tree fell on him.
Grohmann was pronounced dead at the scene.
