After celebrating a first-round sweep in the Midwest League playoffs, the River Bandits are giving fans another reason to celebrate.

According to a spokesperson from the Quad City River Bandits, on Saturday, September 7, 2013, fans attending the 5:35 p.m. game at Modern Woodmen Park in Davenport will have the chance to win prizes, participate in an auction, and enjoy fireworks after the Bandits play the Beloit Snappers.

The River Bandits said they will be giving away nine tablets- one during each inning of the game- tablets are courtesy of Video Games, ETC. An auction will be held to win players’ game-worn batting practice jerseys from the season- proceeds will benefit the Genesis Foundation. After the game, a fireworks show will be put-on; the show is scheduled to start at 9 p.m.

Ball fans can get into the ‘Best Minor League Ballpark in the Country’ starting at 4 p.m. and regular individual seats cost $5.

The River Bandits co-owner, Dave Heller, said Saturday’s offerings are a way to show appreciation for the fans’ support.

“The playoffs are a perfect opportunity for us to say thank you to the people of the Quad Cities,” Heller said.

The Bandits will play a best-of-three in the Midwest League Western Division final. Game two will be played at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday at Pohlman Field in Beloit.
