Amber Alert cancelled after missing Illinois girl found

The Illinois State Police issued an Amber Alert for a 13-year-old girl missing from Champaign.

Soon after Illinois State Police issued an Amber Alert for a 13-year-old girl missing from Champaign, she was reportedly found.

Less than an hour after an the official Amber Alert was issued, police reported the girl and suspect were believed to be in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  Initial reports indicate the two were spotted at a Walmart there.

Cleo Younce reportedly left home to go for a walk at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 2013.

Just after 3 p.m., Cleo reportedly called her mother and said she had been taken by 21-year-old Nicholas Hurley of Daleville, Indiana.  The two know each other through family friends.

An Amber Alert was issued for Cleo late Friday morning, September 6.

Cleo is 5-feet 8-inches tall and has blonde hair and blue eyes.  She was last seen wearing a black jacket, black tank top, and dark jeans. She was also wearing black and teal K-Swiss shoes.

Hurley is 6-feet 8-inches tall, weighs 295 pounds and has brown hair, brown eyes and eyeglasses.

Police said the  pair may have been headed to the St. Louis area.  They were possibly traveling in a bronze-colored 2000 Chevrolet Suburban with Indiana license plate 261CTD.
