As a precaution, the Village of Oquawka, Illinois is under a boil order.

Starting on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 6 a.m. through Friday, September 6 at 6 p.m., Mayor Sandra Fullerton Moody has issued a boil order due to road construction.

Crews will be working on new water lines on both sides of Schuyler Street.

The mayor said the order is a precaution.
