Police allegedly found thousands of dollars and a large amount of drug-related materials at an Iowa City apartment.
According to a report by KCRG, after obtaining a search warrant, members of the Johnson County Drug Task Force searched 31-year-old Kenneth Shaw’s apartment on Thursday, August 29, 2013. Investigators said they found marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms, packaging materials, “a variety of other drugs,” and $10,000 cash in the residence.
Police said Shaw was present when his apartment was searched, reported KCRG. He was arrested and faces two counts of controlled substance violation, two counts of Iowa drug tax stamp violation, unlawful possession of prescription drugs, and keeping a drug house.
KCRG said Shaw was taken to the Johnson County Jail.
