Two Sioux City, Iowa residents are accused of using a heated kitchen utensil to stab and burn a man in their apartment.
Several Sioux City media reports say police were sent to the apartment of Melissa Lowe, 33 and Brandon Keleher, 32 at about 3 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2013, after a neighbor complained of a disturbance there. Police said they found an injured man who said he had just met Lowe and Keleher the previous night.
The man was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries he suffered when he was allegedly hit, stabbed and burned with a kitchen utensil that had been heated. Lowe and Keleher also allegedly stole a wallet from the victim.
Lowe and Keleher were each charged with one count of willful injury and one count of first-degree robbery. Both were held in the Woodbury County Jail in lieu of $70,000 bond.
