Police were called to a residence in Davenport after a teenager was reportedly shot.

According to the Davenport Police Department, around 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2013 officers arrived to a home on 14th Street and found three people sitting on the porch, including the 17-year-old shooting victim.

Initially it was reported that the three were walking in an alley behind the home when an unknown person fired the shot, said the assistant chief of police.

After investigating the scene, detectives came to believe that the shooting happened inside the home and a weapon has been recovered. Officials said they are not looking for any suspects.
