Police hope someone can help them identify two women they say stole a box of money donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

The box reportedly stolen at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday, August 15, 2013 from the Hardee’s at 1930 State Street.

Police said one woman distracted the store manager as another took the box from the counter near a cash register and walked out of the store.

Both women were described as being in their late twenties.  One was described as five-feet eight-inches tall with a “stocky” build.  The other woman wore eyeglasses and was described as five-feet six-inches tall with a slender build and a scar on her left cheek.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact Bettendorf Police at (563) 344-4022.
