To commemorate the success of an ethanol plant in town, an Annawan gas station is offering a discount on the cleaner fuel.
Patriot Renewable Fuels is celebrating its fifth anniversary, and drivers are reaping the benefits as a gas station is offering E-85 fuel for just $1.85.
The Fast Stop Station in Annawan offered the lower price E-85 on Thursday, August 22, 2013 and plans to on Friday from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
“I almost think my truck runs better off it, I wish both my vehicles were Flex fuel,” said Mike Geuns, who fills up at Fast Stop often. “The business I’m in with all the local farmers and that, it’s nice to know you’re kind of supporting the corn industry too. It’s a good feeling.”
