Safe and $25,000 stolen from Iowa State Fair vendor

A safe containing $25,000 was reported stolen from a concession stand operator’s trailer at the Iowa State Fair.

The theft was reported Monday, August 19, 2013.

WHO-TV reports police think someone used a pry bar to open the side door of a trailer parked on a lot at the vendors campground at the fair.  The safe and money belong to Des Moines-based Fyfe Concessions.

A loaded gun kept in the trailer was not taken.
