Nine new interactive kiosks are part of a new drive to help visitors make their way around the events and venues available in the Quad Cities.

Nine new interactive kiosks are part of a new drive to help visitors make their way around the events and venues available in the Quad Cities.

Called "TAP," for Tourist Assistance Portal, the 42-inch touchscreen kiosks offer a virtual tour for visitors that includes photos, maps, information and discounts.  Some of the kiosk info can be sent to your smartphone.

There are also two portable kiosks that will be available at a variety of events around the Quad Cities.

The system also tracks topics and locations searched.

The permanent kiosks will be at the Iowa 80 Truck Stop in Walcott; near the north side entrance to the RiverCenter in Davenport; in the lobby of the iWireless Center in Moline; in the north tower lobby of the Isle Casino Hotel in Bettendorf; in the main lobby of Jumer's Casino and Hotel in Rock Island; in the lobby of the Quality Inn Hotel in Eldridge; at the LeClaire Information Center and at the baggage claim at the Quad City International Airport.
