Refurbished tennis courts unveiled in Rock Island

Pro tennis player, Madison Keys selected tennis courts in Rock Island to be part of a youth tennis program.

On Friday, August 16, 2013 three refurbished tennis courts were unveiled at Hodge Park in Rock Island. Along with the Mayor, professional tennis player, Madison Keys was there to celebrate the unveiling. Keys selected the courts to be part of the Fresh Courts Program, according to the City of Rock Island.

In 2010, American Express and the USTA developed the program to introduce tennis to new generations by renovating courts and facilities around the country.

Keys was scheduled to host a tennis clinic for dozens of local children.
