Three cars were involved in a crash that temporarily closed traffic on Avenue of the Cities in Moline near 54th Street.

According to Moline Police at the crash scene, on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 just after 6 p.m., a driver that was attempting a U-Turn in a sedan got rear-ended by an Impala. Police said a pickup that was behind that crash got clipped, while trying to avoid a fender-bender, and rolled twice.

A police report filed after the crash said the Impala rear-ended the sedan and then the Impala struck the left rear of the pickup.  The pickup “then struck the center median and then overturned,” according to the report.

Although initial information indicated the driver of the pickup and the driver of the sedan suffered minor injuries and were both taken to area hospitals, the crash report filed by police states only the pickup truck driver was transported to an area hospital.

The report said the driver of the Impala, 24-year-old Bryan Clark, was cited for failing to reduce speed in connection with the crash.
