A woman was killed and a man was injured after a vehicle crashed into a ditch.

On Monday, August 12, 2013 shortly after 8 p.m., a one-car crash occurred at 190th Street and 185th Ave. near DeWitt, Iowa, according to a report by the Quad City Times.

According to an accident report filed by the Iowa State Patrol, 46-year-old Carol Joyce Remrey, from Oxford Junction, was driving eastbound on the roadway when she lost control of the vehicle. The report said the car flipped several times into a south-side ditch before coming to rest on its roof.

The report said that 46-year-old Paul Alan Waltemeyer, from Marshalltown, was airlifted to an area hospital. His injuries are unknown.
