Grazing Services Debuts at O’Hare Airport

Chicago, IL (WGN) — There will be at least 25 animals starting new jobs at O’Hare on Tuesday, August 13, 2013.

Goats, llamas and sheep will mow and munch the grounds that are too difficult to maintain with traditional landscaping equipment.

They will be separated from the airplanes by security fencing.

The city says the goats will save money on landscaping, while controlling vegetation and naturally removing weeds.

The program will continue until the end of 2014.
